Hello everyone,

Today I will be talking about how my life was before I gave my life to Jesus.

I've been going to church since I was little and old enough to remember going. My mom was the one who made sure we went to church .We had to walk quite a bit to get to church but that was not a problem for her. The Bible says "Train a child in the way he should go,and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6"

When I was little, I used to love dancing with my father. Whenever we were invited to a party, we would be one of the first ones dancing. Mom would sit and just watch us dance the night away. I can only imagine her sitting there and praying for things to change, for my dad to also go to church. For him to also show us how important it is to go to church and to know God personally not just by hearing his Word. The Bible also says "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6".

Growing up knowing the truth, knowing that God is who needs to be number one in our life was hard. As a teenager you want to just have fun, would be the right way to say it. That was when my father gave his life to Christ again, things started to get complicated for me. It was "Hard" for me to transition from loving to dance to not doing it anymore, to me that was heartbreaking. Little did I know that the best time was yet to come. I started to realize my family was more happy, such in peace, we spent more time together. That's when I knew I had to make a decision and that was to finally give my all to Christ.

Being a teenager and going to church was hard, people would say "Why do you go to church so much?" I made sure to explain how much fun it was for me to be in church, to know that God provides the happiness that the World can't give you. Yes I had battles and I learned to fight them, yes there were times I felt like giving up, yes there were times I felt lonely, but God never left my side.

Being a mom and wife at such a young age was hard. Now that I have my daughter and son, I can understand why my mother made sure to show us how important it is to have God in your life. Now that I am a wife I can also understand why she prayed so much to have my dad serving God. I can tell you by experience, having all your family serving our lovely and merciful God is the best thing to do.

My advice to you is, show everyone that you can be young and still serve God faithfully, there's not an age limit for you to give your life to Christ. Never feel like you are losing something by giving your life to Jesus, never feel like you won't be able to do things. "I can do all this through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13". Being a musicians wife, mother, and both of us having full time jobs it can be kind of crazy but God provides the strength  to do everything that needs to be done and still have a good time as a family.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and remember that OUR God is not a boring God. He lives and through Him we can find that Joy and Peace that nothing/nobody can give.

God Bless You!
