Hey you guys! Happy Tuesday. It's been a little while since my last life update so I decided to go for it and talk to you guys about some goals my husband and I have for our little family of 5. Today's the last day of JUNE (my birthday month) and with a new month, comes new goals, new plans,
and a new start.

Do you remember that post that my husband and I did, on things a newlywed couple should know? Yea, well, one of the tips that we gave you was to learn to manage your money from the start. Being truthful with you, this is something we have struggled with a lot and I think a lot of marriages do. Our biggest issue is that with the income my husband makes, it's super easy for us to want to eat out most days. I mean, we really do eat out a lot!

I recently started following The Budget Mom on YouTube and I have learned so much about budgeting and saving. FINANCES! It's not a topic I ever thought I would write about, but I understand that it's something that's not really spoken much of. I think, in a way, people are a little embarrassed to admit that they struggle with their finances, and I completely get it, because I am too! But it's important to talk about it because God calls us to be good stewards of our lives, times, and guess what, our finances! We have to learn to be good stewards of our dolla's (yes, I meant to spell it that way)!

SO! Our number one goal for the month of July is to learn how to manage our money better, stop eating out so much, and save, save, save. Of course, we do have other goals for this month, but the big one has to do with our finances. We are so serious about this goal, that I even ordered the Live Rich Planner, which I'm stoked to receive. We are taking this so serious because we want to not only learn for ourselves, but break generational curses. This is not to bash our families at all, but growing up, neither of our parents sat down with us to talk about finances, talk about credit, or  about saving. And we want to break that and start teaching our kids about stewarding their money the right way, but it starts with us. We have to get it together so our three babies (and future ones) can see the example in us.

Well my friend, that's literally it for this life update. I just really wanted to share my top goal for July with you for some accountability. If I put out there, then I need to do it, right? lol!!

Ahh, I missed you guys so much that I created a little something for you!

A GOALS WORKSHEET!!!!

Yassss. It's super cool to write down your goals and look back at the end of the month to see if you acheieved you goals. If you didn't. It's OK! As one of my uplines say,

The goal doesn't change, the date does.
